Jesus Christ used the experience of walking on water in Matthew 14:22-33 as a lesson of faith. The Holy Spirit revealed that this is prophetic, demonstrating the rise, fall and rise again of Peter.

Matthew 14:30
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
The word sink is the greek word katapontizō which means,
- to plunge or sink into the sea
- to sink, to go down
