Jesus is coming back. The angels had this to say in Acts 1:11, “ ...this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” Here are Four (4) Revelations as it relates to the return of Christ plus a bonus Revelation:
First Revelation: 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
- Those that die in Christ are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:14
- All saints (alive and remain) unto the Lord’s coming will not prevent those that are asleep, vs 15
- The Lord will descend from heaven. vs 16
- The trumpet shall sound. vs 16
- The dead in Christ rise first, then the Saints that are alive will both be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. vs 17, “..so shall we ever be with the Lord” vs 17.
- He will not leave us ever, ”...whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.”
- No secret Rapture! because there are only two options for the saint: sleep (dead before his coming) or wake (alive and remain at his coming)
- The left behinds are those not saved. Those that were not caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
Second Revelation: Revelation 19:11-21
- On the Lord’s second coming, he is coming to make war, “in righteousness he doth judge and make war”, Revelation 19:11
- Verses 12 to 16 describes Christ on His return: Faithful and True, the Word of God, King of kings, Lord of lords.
- His armies which were in heaven: a clear distinction from the saints caught up (which were soldiers too), followed him. vs 14
- There will be a great war between the King of kings and His armies and Beasts, kings of the earth and their armies, Rev 16:16. Many will die: kings, captains, mighty men, horses, horsemen, all men free and bond, small and great, vs 18. {Take note of the caliber of those that die}
- The mark of the beast will be implemented while the saints are on earth. Rev 19:20 mentions those who received the mark of the beast and Revelation 13:16 gives the details of the mark.
- The first entrants to the lake of fire burning with brimstone, vs 20.
- Beast
- False Prophet
“If any man have an ear, let him hear”, Revelation 13:9

Third Revelation: 1 Corinthians 15:50-58
- Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God...vs 50.
- We shall all be changed. Dead in Christ=>raised incorruptible, Alive at his coming=>mortal to immortality, vs 53
- Saints live forever, cannot die a second death, “Death is swallowed up in victory”, vs 54. “Thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”, vs 57
- Our labour is not in vain, vs 58.
- When Revelation 20 takes place, the saints would have already been caught up and changed to immortality. This means that the second death(Rev 20:14) has no power over those risen.

Why did Christ come the second time? Judgement and War. Read Revelation 19:11.
Fourth Revelation: Revelation 20:1-10
The Missing Link
- Satan is bound with chains in the bottomless pit for a thousand years. Rev 20:1-3
- Saints will live and reign 1000 years with Christ
- Saints Defined
- Souls beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God
- Those that did not worship the beast, his image nor receive his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands.
- Saints Defined
- The dead (who died without Christ) lived not again until the thousand years were finished
- After a thousand years, Satan will be released for a little while, he shall deceive the nations (those not saved and alive on Christ’s coming)
SECOND DEATH DEFINED :- JUDGEMENT, CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE. REVELATION 20:11-14
Bonus Revelation
- A demon’s torment is that it does not have a body. Reference the demon possessed man, Matthew 8:28. They begged Jesus to give them another body if they must come out of their abode (the man’s body, Matthew 8:31). The demon asked Jesus if he came to torment them before their time because,
- Without a body they are tormented
- They know their final destination is the lake of fire
- They have no rest. Reference the revelation that Jesus gave in Matthew 12:43, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none”.
- So it is in judgement, that after a man has lost his body and not given a new body, he will experience everlasting torment (no rest).
- In the beginning, God formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life (Genesis 2:7) and man became a living soul. He gave Adam a body and all men that lived thereafter, also received a body. We see the importance of a body.
- In the end, either you go to eternity without a body or if your name is written in the book of life, you will receive a heavenly body, Read 1 Corinthians 15:35-58.
- Flesh and blood type of body is necessary for earth, but there is an heavenly body that is needed for eternal life. Read more on the types of bodies in 1 Corinthians 15:35-58.
Hope for the Born-Again Believer comes from Revelation 21:5, which says, "...Behold I make all things new...". This means Three (3) things:
- New Earth
- New Heaven
- New Bodies
