What is the Prophetic meaning of the Story of Jesus walking on Water in Matthew 14:22-33? How was Peter able to also walk on water? Do you BELIEVE that you too can walk on water?

Jesus Christ used the experience of walking on water in Matthew 14:22-33 as a lesson of faith. The Holy Spirit revealed that this is prophetic, demonstrating the rise, fall and rise again of Peter.

Matthew 14:30
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

The word sink is the greek word katapontizō which means,

  • to plunge or sink into the sea
  • to sink, to go down
