How do I develop the character of charity? In what ways should I give charity?
- Share resources, time, money with others,
- Develop a giving attitude.
- Do not lord over others.
- Make yourself available through your time.
- Forgiveness is charity. Do not speak ill of people nor render curses.
- Do not be a traitor/betrayer.
God is just. Leave all vengeance to Him because we will not
give a fair reward. He is all seeing, he knows everything, he
knows the intent of man's heart. He knows the future. If I
should put myself in another one's shoes, given similar
stimulants, I too may at some point done wrong and God in his
infinite mercy, chose to wipe away all my sins. Because His
word allows for mercy and forgiveness to the heart that
repents, man is not allowed to revenge an adversary, besides
we are not always just in our "justices" and we do not always
take into consideration that people can change.
Therefore, God's justice is always the best, He says,
"Vengeance is mine, I will repay". In another scripture he
states that he will give mercy to whomever he chooses. He is
the just Judge, "Advocate".
